An 18th century English needlework picture

Circa 1720. Worked in coloured silks and wools with a gentleman standing, his dog beside him, between a fountain, a balustrade and an urn in the garden of a country estate, amid rabbits, birds and a butterfly, and a red brick house beyond.

Attributed to ‘ladies of the Inge family’. The Inges, at the time this picture was made, were resident at Thorpe Hall, in Staffordshire, close to the northern border of Warwickshire.
