A chasuble front

Consisting of a late 15th century Italian lampas orphrey panel, the silk, linen and gilt threads in rose and golden yellow set with silver and silver gilt bouclé wefts with a design of the Christogram of Saint Bernardino and adoring cherubim, on a 15th century green silk velvet impressed with the marks of now removed late 15th century opus anglicanum embroidery. Edged with 17th century silk fringe and backed with blue sized linen.
