A pair of 17th century pilaster hangings
Circa 1680-1700, probably Portuguese
Of taillure appliqué in burgundy silk velvet, with flowers, parrots and scrolling leaves in cloth of gold, and embroidered floss silk edged with couched silk threads. Each hanging bordered with narrow gold braid, and backed. With losses and restorations.
