The Holy Ghost represented as a dove, above a panel bearing the inscription ‘INRI’, for Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudaeorum, fixed to the remaining upper section of a crucifix, flanked by trellis patterned columns under a blue vaulted ceiling and green spandrels, embroidered in coloured silks in split stitch, satin stitch and laid silk with trellis couching, and silver-gilt threads in underside couching, on a linen ground. With losses to the silk.

Now laid on a panel of 16th century blue linen, and framed.

The textile 16.2cm (6⅜”) high and 18.1cm (7⅛”) wide, in a gilt frame 31.5cm (12⅜”) high and 33.5cm (13¼”) wide.
