A pair of silk tiebacks

Circa 1780-1820

In sienna and parchment coloured silk, the cords linking wooden pear shaped moulds with a stitched herringbone pattern above a band of rosettes with silk covered vellum petals, the fringe skirt with metal thread springs and loops.

The cords 50cm (19¾”) long, the tassels 15.5cm (6⅛”).
