An 18th century Aubusson tapestry panel

Circa 1730-1740

With a basket of flowers, a squirrel and a pigeon in a landscape of rolling hills paling to blue in the distance, within a latticed golden ‘picture frame’ border set with acanthus leaves.Woven in silk and wool.

Mounted on a stretcher and framed with 18th century linen.

87cm (34¼”) high and 75cm (29½”) wide.
