A late 17th century Aubusson verdure tapestry

Worked in wool and silk with two wading birds in a wooded riverine landscape with poppies and other flowers, and a chateau and other buildings on the rolling land beyond, within a border of flowers and acanthus scrolls.

With restorations, and reduced slightly in size.

242cm (95¼”) high and 272cm (107”) wide.
